The Almaviva household is rife with manipulation, infidelity, family secrets and scheming of all kinds! After years of marriage, the Count is losing interest in his wife, the Countess, much to her despair. He abuses his droit du seigneur to try to steal the beautiful Susanna, his wife’s servant girl, from Figaro, head of his servant staff, on their wedding night. Their union is further jeopardized by the scheming Marcellina and Basilio, who collude to expose Figaro for failing to repay a large debt. The young and lustful Cherubino then arrives, announcing his teenage infatuation for all women including Barbarina, Susanna and even his godmother, the Countess. It’s a busy day in the court of Almaviva!
